AERODINÁMICA DONDE IMPORTA: Instead of adding forms only for aesthetics, we have optimized every aerodynamic detail to achieve our most efficient route bike to date. Yeah, even more than the Venge. The new Tarmac front design, baptized as Speed Sniffer, maximizes the flow of clean air thanks to a more delayed and stylized steering tube, which significantly reduces resistance. Taking advantage of the new margins of the UCI regulation, this version incorporates the thinner and aerodynamic sill tile we have never made, allowing the air around the legs to flow more fluidly to the back. What does it sound like victory?
LIGERA AND EFFICIENT AS NUNCA: Inspiring in Aethos' learnings, we developed the Tarmac SL8 with the aim of achieving the minimum weight allowed by ICU without losing aerodynamic efficiency. The result is a picture of only 685 grams, 15% lighter than the SL7 and lighter than any other World Tour bike*. We apply these knowledge mainly in the lower tube, the sillin and the rear, where structural efficiency was prioritized without the need to add additional carbon layers. *Excepting, of course, that time Kasper Asgreen ran a tour stage on a 585 gram Aethos painting.
IMBATIBLE VELOCITY, SORPRENDENT COMODITY: Thanks to an improvement of 33% in the stiffness-weight relationship with its predecessor, the SL8 offers a more direct response when pedaling, greater precision in the handlebar and comfort on the seat difficult to match. The already winning geometry of the Tarmac remains intact, and its Rider-First Engineering design guarantees the same outstanding performance regardless of the size of the cyclist. In addition, with 6 % more elasticity in the back, the bike softens the irregular terrain without losing its competitive essence. It also retains the space for tyres up to 32 mm, making it more versatile than ever.
DISSIGNED FOR PERSONS, NOT FOR GENEVA: Individual differences between cyclists far exceed those attributed to gender. That's why the Tarmac SL8 has been designed for everyone, without labels. We break with the traditional approach of bicycles specific to men or women and bet for a universal experience of high performance.
The Tarmac SL8 Expert combines a set of high-level components, with the Shimano Ultegra Di2 electronic group, Roval C38 carbon wheels compatible with tubeless, SL7 power and Specialized Expert Shallow Drop aluminum handlebar. Performance and quality in a bike ready to stand out.
